The staff of Cottolengo Mission Hospital in Chaaria wishes to express heartfelt condolences to the family of Dr Ashford Mbogo, of the Meru Level 5 Hospital, who has been brutally gunned down by unknown people outside his home on Tuesday.
Our colleague was killed al 7.40 in the morning.
What is even more terrible of the tragedy is that Dr Mbogo was taking the son to school and the poor boy was seated near the father when he was killed in his own car.
Many of us knew him personally because he was the clinical officer in charge in Meru Hospital. He was also specialized in ophthalmology.
We promise our prayer for the soul of Dr Ashford Mbogo and for the consolation of the family.
We pray also that the killings in Meru may stop immediately: it is only 3 weeks ago when we cried for the loss of our friend and colleague Dr Albert Obiri, who was also brutally killed.
May the Good Lord touch the heart of the murderers and convert them.
May our fellow colleague rest in peace, and may the family find consolation.
