Today the East African Medical Journal has communicated to me that my new case report has been accepted for publication on the issue of May.
It is a great joy for me and a great honor.
Publications of studies, posters, case reports are important parts of my commitment here in Chaaria, where we want to serve the needy with total commitment, but also to aim at a good level of continuous formation and scientific knowledge.
Writing articles is normally an activity we do at night, stealing time from the few hours of sleep the hospital can allow us to enjoy, but we know it is worthy.
I want to appreciate my dear friend Dr Carlo Lanza, who normally does the greatest part of editing of the basic writings I send to him.
I cherish Dr Nyaga and Dr Khadija, our co-authors in the case report.
This time we have focused our attention on a rare case of intestinal malrotation and duodenal stenosis in a 4-year-old child admitted in our hospital and saved through a concerted effort of the diagnostic, medical and surgical teams working in Chaaria.
We hope the case report will help clinicians to think about the rare condition described, in order to put a correct diagnosis and perform the adequate treatment.
