We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the “Corps of Gendarmerie” of the Vatican City for the generous donation to the Maternity and Paediatrics Services of our Mission Hospital.
The contribution we have received from the “Gendarmerie” is very substantial and it will be very helpful in the last push before we complete the new Maternity.
It will also help us in the planned renovation of the Paediatrics Ward.
Together with the donation they have offered us also the plate you can admire in the photo.
The plate has been blessed in the “Pilgrim’s Chapel” in Vatican City at the presence of Dr Lino Marchisio (President of the Volunteers’ Association), Bro Giuseppe Meneghini (our former General Superior), Dr Pietro Rolandi (our senior general surgeon in Chaaria), Paola (a journalist linked to “For-A-Smile Association”) , and others.
As soon as we will receive the plate, we will place it on the wall of the new building, together with the others already in place.

I wish to express a very special thanksgiving to Brother Roberto Trappa who has been to one allowing the donation to take place: it is through the friendship of Bro Trappa with some members of the Gendarmerie that we now can enjoy this precious donation from the Vatican.
